Lisa has been involved with the Club from day 1 and has supported all areas of the Club making it possible for the idea of AFC Welwyn to become a reality. Lisa is also a football lover and has had 20 years of watching her Dad, Douglas Pirie (a Stevenage legend) playing non-league football so much of her youth was spent at non-league football grounds. The football didn't slow down in adulthood as the Pirie gene was passed down to her children and they have all played and do still play football. So weekends are always spent on the side-lines watching the kids playing football. That doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon as her youngest son Ezra is football obsessed, so at least another 20 years on the side-lines for Lisa. With AFC Welwyn and the kids' football, football has become Lisa's life! Lisa passed the Bar in 2021 and is a qualified, non-practising Barrister. She is also currently a Director within the Healthcare Recruitment sector. You may think Lisa has got her hands full, however she somehow finds time to run AFC Welwyn as she is the Club Secretary and keeps everything ticking and the Club running smoothly.
