We are proud to announce that once again with have made the finalists at the FCA's in the category Best Football Club: Non-League. What the FCA's have written on their finalists website:
AFC Welwyn
Formed in 2023 with no players or fanbase, AFC Welwyn’s rise has been extraordinary on and off the pitch. Within two seasons they’ve climbed from Step 7 to Step 5 and built a digital presence surpassing many EFL clubs, with over 30 million video views and one of the most-watched football YouTube channels worldwide. Multi-camera coverage, live streams and their flagship Death Before Defeat documentary offer fans immersive access. Creative short-form content keeps engagement high, making them a modern non-league media success story.
We are in a really tough category with some massive non-league clubs alongside us, so every single vote we can muster will count. You can vote in 3 different ways and each vote will count.

Following positive discussions and full backing of our plans from land owners of 2 sites that are located within the Welwyn post code area, we have had communication with the local MP's office regarding our plans. We now have a face-to-face meeting scheduled with the MP Andrew Lewin on 3rd October 2025 to discuss our proposal in greater detail. Updates of the meeting will be posted here.

With the club changing its legal structure from a LTD company to a CIC we are now eligible for a significant number of grants due to the community focus of our project. We are finalising a short list of grants we feel we meet all of the criteria for and will publish the list here of the applications we will be submitting.

Meetings will take place at the registered office with times tbc
